Wellsboro, PA: Geraldine M. (Keck) Dunkleberger-Gustin, age 79, of Wellsboro, PA, and a former long-time resident of Horseheads, NY, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 13, 2012. She was born on February 12, 1933 in her family's home in Wellsboro, to the late Walter S. Keck and Vauleda (Lorenz) Keck-Westphal. Geri, as she was known by family and friends, grew up in Wellsboro with her four brothers and younger sister. Geri had a natural talent for singing and playing the guitar, which brought her and others joy over the years. Geri and her husband, Bob, enjoyed traveling and were big fans of NASCAR, the NFL and MLB. She also enjoyed flower gardening, listening to music, baking, ceramics, reading, and playing card and board games for hours. Anyone who knew Geri would tell you that of all life's enjoyments, she most loved spending time with her family and children. Geri was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Gustin; brothers, Warren, Fred and Tom; and grandson, Jeffrey Bailey. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Kathy Dunkleberger of Southport, FL, Ronnie and Julie Dunkleberger of Panama City Beach, FL; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Sam Raplee of Gray Court, SC, Gail and Ellis Brocious of Wellsboro, PA, Brenda Miller of Ventura, CA; brother, Wally Keck of Wellsboro, PA; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Jerry Boyce of Masaryktown, FL; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; several nephews and nieces and many dear friends.
Friends may call on Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., Wellsboro, PA. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Darwin "Tink" Cranmer officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY on Monday, September 24th.
