Charles W. Robinson, age 88, passed away quietly in his home in Massillon, OH after a lengthy illness on August 29, 2013. He was the son of Laverne and Rena Robinson of Waverly, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Geraldine; first wife Catherine; second wife Beatrice Boyd; and his son Michael. He is survived by his brother Richard; son Scott; granddaughter Rhiannon; step-sons Michael and David; and step-daughter Janet. Charles, aka Rusty, served as an airplane mechanic in the US Army Air Force during WWII before launching a career in the paint business for the Sherwin-Williams Company. He was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed reading the business and sports sections of newspapers as well as the Sunday funnies. He was a devoted family man, pet lover, and a fan of the Cleveland Indians. He will be dearly missed by all those who were touched by his love and generosity. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice for the compassionate care they provided. Donations in the name of Charles Robinson can be made to any Hospice organization. In honoring his wishes, Charles will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11AM in St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, 4600 Fulton Dr. NW, with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10-11am in the church.
