Waters, Florence M.

A longtime resident of Horseheads, passed away Tuesday morning, Mar. 25, 2014 at Elcor Health Services at the age of 82. Born on May 11, 1931 in Sayre, PA; Florence was the daughter of the late, Patrick & Margaret Mary Angelo Cannavino. A hard worker and good provider, Florence was employed at Smith Park Camp Grounds, Hector, NY; where she was the Asst. Manager for many years. Her many interests included Bingo, Word Search, playing cards, cooking for, and spending time with her family. Surviving is her loving family; daughter and son-in-law, Michele A. & Jeffrey A. Ervay of Horseheads; grandchildren; Meghan (Matthew) Parsons, Elmira; Valerie S. Ervay, Horseheads; Geoffrey M. Ervay, Pine City; Ashley E. Ottaviano, Big Flats; and Michael A. Ottaviano, NC; sister, Antoinette (Frederick) Darling; brother, Patrick Waterman; sister-in-law, Marilyn Decker; nieces, Kim Darling and Debbie Frank; great niece, Rosie; good friend, Gladys; care giver and dear friend, Rhonda. In addition to her parents, Florence was predeceased by her first husband, Michael H. Ottaviano; her husband, Martin D. Waters; and cherished son, Michael Ottaviano; brothers, Ronald Cannavino and Michael Decker. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport/Elmira on Sat. Mar. 29, 2014 from 11-12 (noon). A memorial service will follow at (12 noon) with burial in St. Mary our Mother Cemetery, Horseheads, NY.
