SEYMOUR, Carl E., Sr.

Of Chemung, NY: Age 91, passed away on March 26, 2014 at home surrounded by family. He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Adelaide Seymour after 51 years of marriage. He is survived by children, Carol (Jim) Gleason, Joe (Vickie) Seymour, Janet (Ski) Wrubleski, Carl E. Seymour, Jr., David Seymour, and Lorraine (Douglas) Delles; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Carl was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII, Member of the American Legion, formerly worked at National Homes from its opening to its closing, after he went to work at Trayer Products in Elmira, NY. Proud father of six children whom he loved dearly. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, especially on trips to Canada. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Monday March 31, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Funeral Service there Tuesday at 1:00 PM followed by graveside service with Military Honors at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, NY. Those wishing may make memorials to the Chemung County Humane Society & SPCA. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.
