David Treaster Obituary
Age 67, of Kissimmee FL formerly of Elmira died Thursday, October 16, 2014. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Nicoletta Di Lanzo Treaster; children, D. Scott (Alison) Treaster, with his children, Amanda, Christina & Lauren, Lansing, NY, Allen E. Treaster, FL, Kristine (Joshua) Eckenrode, with their children Isabella, & Sofia, Ithaca, NY, Sabrina (Joe Truelove) Di Lanzo, with their child, Blakely, NC, Melissa Treaster mother of Amanda, Christina & Lauren, NC; aunt, Shirly Zeckman, PA; several sisters & brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews & cousins. David was retired from the town of Elmira, a former member of the West Elmira Volunteer Fire Department after 20 years of service and a US Army Reserve Veteran. He was an avid fisherman, woodworker and Nascar fan. The Family will receive relatives and friends at the Kalec Funeral Home, Today, Thursday, October 23th from 6 PM to 8 PM. A prayer service will be held there at 10 am, Friday, October 24th followed by his Mass of Christian burial in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11 am. Burial to follow in St. Peter's and Paul's Cemetery in Elmira.

The EFA class of 1965 50th reunion committee is sorry to hear of David's death and sends its sympathies to his family. He will be remembered by his classmates when we gather together in August 2015.

David Treaster was a special friend to us. I will miss calling him at dinner time to find out what he was cooking for Nicoletta when she returned from work. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.
