John LeRoy Pagona, Sr. John LeRoy Pagona, Sr., 81, of Elkwood, VA died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. John was born in Strawpump, PA on November 11, 1928 to John Baptist Pagona and Cecelia Hughes Pagona. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Nokesville and had attended Auburn Baptist Church in Auburn, VA. John is survived by his loving wife, Rita Deloris Neal Pagona, his children; U.S. Navy Captain John LeRoy Pagona, Jr. and wife Diana of Virginia Beach, Leah Bryant and husband James of Cary, NC, Pamela Pagona and husband George Giek of Lake Mary, FL, Penny Pagona and husband John Kokkinos of Virginia Beach and Scott Pagona and wife Debbra of Ayden, NC. Also surviving is his brother, Victor Pagona of Orange City, FL, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as Rita's eight children and many grandchildren and great grand children.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at Moser Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 where services will be held on Thursday, October 21st at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in John's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1095, Warrenton, Va 20188. Online condolences at www.moserfuneralhome.com.
