Joseph Dunagan Obituary

Published by Found and Sons Funeral Chapels & Cremation Service - Culpeper on Feb. 8, 2012.
Joseph Roy Dunagan

Joseph Roy Dunagan, father to five sparkling children, Adeline, Bayle, Jahsolin, Emily and Eliron, a loving husband to Amanda Dunagan, brother to Sharee, and son to Fransi and Tony, departed for heaven on the morning of Friday, February 3, 2012, after a four year battle with non-hodgkins lymphoma. Joseph leaves a legacy of love and hope, invention and innovation that spreads his name with admiration across more than a dozen states of the union, several continents and a thousand living souls. It is with the greatest sadness and smiling hearts that we remember him, a loving friend and father, husband and son, in his own words: "I want you to recognize and remember that God has promised a time of peace to balance these hardships. I want you to be able to sense it when it comes, because it may not appear in the form you are expecting. Peace may simply be the clockwork embrace of your mother or siblings that never fail you. Peace may even only come after I have gone. Don't ever lose your faith - I never did - and hold so so fast to the memory of the love I will always have for each one of you." The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Dallas Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Dunagan children, c/o Reverend Dallas Smith, Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 19 Scrabble Rd., Boston, VA 22713. An online guestbook and tribute wall are available at www.foundandsons.com. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is handling the arrangements.

Joey,

It's no wonder that the word "joy" is part of your name. You had more joy than most people I've ever met and your relationship with Mandy and the kids was inspiring beyond measure. It gave me hope that true love and companionship do exist in this crazy world. You will be missed by many.

Love,
Donna
