James Russell Orndorff James "Jimmy" Russell Orndorff, age 68, of Gore, Virginia, died Saturday, September 4, 2010, in his home.

Mr. Orndorff was born in 1943, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late William Henry Orndorff, Sr. and Laura Louise Orndorff. He was a chauffeur. He was formerly employed at Rubbermaid Commercial Products for 20 years and raised Labrador Retrievers in Mt. Williams, Va. He was an avid deer hunter. Jimmy was a graduate of James Wood High School and a member of Riverton United Methodist Church, Front Royal, Virginia.

Jimmy married Wanda Gail Orndorff.

He is survived by three sons, Reverend Dr. Randy Orndorff and wife, Lee Anne of Culpeper, Virginia, Michael Brian Orndorff and wife, Penny McIntyre of Gore, Virginia, and Ben Everett Orndorff of Bridgewater, Virginia; five grandchildren, Josh and his wife, Michelle, Kelsey (preceded him in death), Jordan, Shaun and Jonathan Orndorff; a sister, Joanna Smith of Reliance, Virginia; and a brother, William H. Orndorff, Jr. and wife, Earline of Salem, Virginia.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Riverton United Methodist Church, Front Royal, Virginia, with the Rev. Michael Derflinger and Rev. John Lock officiating. Interment will be private.
