BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Lewis Max Hiatt, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 in Bellingham, Wash. His wife Rogene and his four children were able to be with him at the time of passing. His survivors also include his sister Chelsa Lacey, two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren.
His parents, Lewis and Eva, along with sister Pauline preceded him in death.
Max was born in Scottsbluff, Dec. 14, 1933. He graduated from Scottsbluff High School and the University of Nebraska and served in the U.S. Navy and Marines as a Corpsman. He retired from a career working for the Federal Government as the Regional Director for the Department of Transportation, Inspector General.
Rogene and Max lived in Arizona for the last 15 years, spending the last few summers in Washington.
