BRIDGEPORT - Bob (Robert) Kittelmann, 73, died in his home surrounded by family and friends Saturday, Oct 6, 2012 from cancer.

At his request, cremation was held and a small memorial graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. with family and close friends.

Bob was born Oct. 17, 1939 to Chester Ralph Kittelmann and Gladys Margaret (Taylor) in Alliance. He enlisted into the Army Nat'l Guard at the age of 18, and served in Fort Knox until his honor-able discharge in 1959. Bob was united in marriage to Vicki Lynn Elerbeck Nov. 3, 1981 at Winside, Neb. After living in various locations, they settled down in Bridgeport, in 1989.
He loved his family and was always eager to help others in need. Besides raising their three children, Bob and Vicki also helped raise numerous nieces and nephews over the years. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, horses, and his dogs.
Survivors include his children, Michele Litke and Melony (Rod) Detweiler of Bridgeport, James Kittelmann of Rocky Comfort, Mo., and Kent Svitak, also from Bridgeport; grandchildren, Zachary, Shantell, Kane, Sierra, Jayden, Robert, Matthew, Christian, Tyler, Nicole, Brandon, Tamika, Keesha, Saidies, Chance, and James; special friend of the family, Glenda Jacobucci and her children.
Preceding Bob in death was his wife Vicki; parents, Ralph and Gladys; sister, Rose Endicott; niece, Pamela Jackson, and grandson, Timothy Kittelmann.
