SIDNEY - Patricia J. Fehringer, 84 of Sidney, and former Peetz, Colo. resident, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Sidney Regional Medical Center Extended Care with family at her side.
Mass of Christian Burial services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 22 with a Wake Service at 6 p.m., Thursday evening. Both services will be in the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sidney with Father Art Faesser officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Peetz.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pat's name to the

Patricia Josephine Fehringer, the daughter of James Peter and Josephine Angela (Lacy) Mohatt, was born on March 17, 1929 in Sidney. She attended rural schools and graduated from St. Patrick's Academy. Pat received her Teaching Certificate from Kearney State College and taught country school for a time. Pat was united in marriage to Walter Fehringer of Peetz on Sept. 29, 1949 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sidney. They raised seven children on a farm near Peetz.
After raising her children, Pat worked as a teacher's aide in the Peetz School and as a sales clerk at the Fabric Boutique in Sidney. She later moved to Sidney were she helped at the St. Pat's Rummage House and church funeral dinners and volunteered at Central School as a grand-mother for the fourth grade. Pat loved to square dance, do crossword puzzles, play cards and was an excellent seamstress.
Patricia is survived her sons, Thomas Fehringer of Peetz, Steven Fehringer of Santa Fe, N.M. and Ronald Fehringer (Darla Arnold) of Sterling, Colo.; daughters, Rose Mary Fehringer of Fort Collins, Colo., Sharon Jessen and husband Michael of Sidney and Julie Fehringer of Eaton, Colo.; sister, Kay Fehringer of Chappell, and brother, Jim Mohatt of York, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members.
Preceding Pat in death was her husband, Walt in 1973; son, Vincent; her parents and sister, Margaret Armstrong.
