Mary T. Gorski Seamstress, loved her garden, knitting and crocheting Mary T. (Gotowicki) Gorski, 94, of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away on Jan. 10, 2016, at Elmora Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Elizabeth, N.J. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at 10 a.m. from the Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 E. St. Georges Ave., Linden, N.J. 07036 (908) 352-9190. The Funeral Mass is at St. Adalbert R.C. Church, Elizabeth at 11 a.m. Interment is at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, N.J. Send online condolences to krowickifuneralhome.com. Born in Carteret, N.J., Mrs. Gorski lived most of her life in Elizabeth. She was an accomplished seamstress for various companies. Mrs. Gorski was a member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans Post 91, Ladies Auxiliary, Elizabeth, and served as chaplin for many years. She was also a member of the Senior Citizen Club of St. Hedwig and St. Adalbert parishes. Mary enjoyed her garden, raising tomatoes and growing her favorite flower, peonies. She looked forward to her day trips to Atlantic City, N.J. Knitting and crocheting was also a favorite pastime for her. Mrs. Gorski was the beloved wife for 68 years of Stanley; devoted mother of Cynthia Kennedy and her husband, John, of Union, N.J., and Arlene Knox of Scotch Plains, N.J.; dear mother-in-law of the late Harold Knox; loving sister of Alice Bodnar of Bridgewater, N.J., and the late Anthony Gotowicki, and cherished grandmother of John M. Kennedy and Alexa Knox. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
