Ana Valencia Obituary

Ana Maria "Anita" Valencia, 54, of Belleville, N.J., entered into eternal rest on Jan. 3, 2014, at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, surrounded by her loving family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of St. Peter in Belleville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Megaro Memorial Home, 503 Union Ave., Belleville, megaromemorialhome.com. Anita was an ESL teacher. She graduated from the accredited Ecuadorian University Laica Vicente Rocafuerte of Guayaquil, Ecuador. She worked as an English teacher at the prestigious Unidad Educativa Bilingual Thomas Jefferson of Guayaquil, Ecuador. In the United States, she worked as a Spanish teacher at the Montclair Cooperative School in Montclair, N.J., and was presently working at Walmart in Kearny, N.J. Anita was the beloved wife of Mike Valencia, and the loving mother of Maria Mercedes, Pablo Andres Gabino, and Mike's daughters, Sandra Valencia and Michelle Bimonte Valencia. She was the outstanding daughter of Mercedes Zeballos and Colon Freire; dearest sister of Guillermo, Manuel, Juan, Mercedes and family, Elena and Federico and daughters, Luis and Monica, and children, Angelita and Fernando, and children, Colon, Carlitos, Freire Zeballos, Carlos Velez and Marisol Roman. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made to her children, Pablo and Maria Gabino, during the visitation at Megaro Memorial Home.
