James L. Girolamo

James L. Girolamo, 72, of Belleville, N.J., formerly of Bloomfield, N.J., passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J. Born in Jersey City, N.J., Mr. Girolamo also lived in Bloomfield and Nutley, N.J., before moving to Belleville three years ago. He was the owner of Blimpies Sandwich Shop in Montclair, N.J., for 20 years. Beloved husband to Carol (nee Earl) Girolamo, he was the devoted father to David DiGirolamo and his wife, Christine, Tracey Alfano and her husband, Stephen, and Jana Gervald and her husband, Dale; cherished grandfather to Ashley, Alyssa, Nicholas and Angelina; dear brother to Diane Caccioppo and Timothy Spaeth.
