Lena Ostella

Lena Ostella (nee Cestone), 88, of Montclair, N.J., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at her home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Montclair. Interment is at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visiting will be on Monday, Dec. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. caggianomemorial.com. Lena was a medical transcriber for Lung Diagnostics in Glen Ridge, N.J., for many years before retiring. She was very active at the Women's Club of Upper Montclair, and a lifelong Montclair resident. She is survived by her children, Michael and his wife, Evelyn, Ralph and his wife, Dorothy, Leanne Whitlock and her husband, Robin, Dr. Frank and his wife, Lisa; her grandchildren, Geoffrey and his wife, Melissa, Peter and his wife, Michelle, Michael and his wife, Amy, Christine Ponka and her husband, Joseph, Steven, Amanda, Douglas, and Frank Jr, and by her great-grandchildren, Sophie, Maxine, Jackson, Lukas, Trey, Lila, Caleb. She was predeceased by her husband in 1994, Mario Albert; a granddaughter, Katherine Whitlock, and her brother, Frank Cestone. Please omit flowers and send donations to a charity of your choice.
