He was such a nice man and such a good neighbor. He once helped us rescue our parrot that had escaped. And our dog, Bailey, loved to see him and be petted by him. We will so miss seeing him on our street. Our sympathies for the whole family.

Dear Pete and family,
I'm so sorry to learn of the untimely passing of your dad. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy regarding this tragic loss. May his soul rest in peace for all eternity. Who could ever forget all those wonderful summers spent on the shores of OB III? I recall your house as being on the bay side near the boat basin. I can still picture you as the devoted "badge checker" who was once even thrown into the ocean for performing his duty. And, of course, I'll always remember your cream puff 1957 Chevrolet!! (A Series 150 Sedan if I'm not mistaken.) I trust you still have it! (At least, I'm hoping you do.) May your fond and loving memories of your dad ease your pain and help to carry you through this most trying and difficult time. My condolences.
Most sincerely,
your old pal,
Dale
