Rose Montesano

Rose Montesano (nee Pravata) of Lavallette, N.J., passed away on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Crane's Mill Assisted Living in West Caldwell, N.J. She was 82 years old. Services will be conducted from the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, N.J., on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann's Church in Parsippany, N.J. at 10 am. Entombment is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation is on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born in Newark, N.J., Rose lived in Bloomfield, N.J., and Belleville, N.J., before moving to Lavallette over 20 years ago. She worked in production for Hoffmann-LaRoche in Nutley, N.J., for 10 years, retiring in 1989. She was the beloved wife of Henry Montesano; loving mother of Diane Montesano Del Russo, Henry Montesano Jr., Michele Allora and Robert Montesano, and dear sister of Peter Pravata and Linda Miele.
