Thomas Gargano

Thomas Gargano, 86, of Verona, N.J., formerly of West Caldwell, N.J., died Sunday, March 3, 2013. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dancy Funeral Home, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, March 6, at 10 a.m. in St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell. Entombment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, Mr. Gargano lived in West Caldwell for many years before moving to Verona, N.J., five years ago. He worked in the maintenance department in coach maintenance for New Jersey Transit in Perth Amboy, N.J., for 15 years before retiring. Mr. Gargano earned a bachelor's degree in Italy. Surviving are his beloved wife of 56 years, Angelina (nee Cirelli); loving children, Camillo Gargano and his wife, Nay, Vincenza Kafaf and her husband, John, Patricia Procino, and Theresa Agnello and her husband, Lou, and cherished grandchildren, Nicola, Gregory, Christine, Antonella, Giuliana, Francesca, Thomas, Tina, Marc, Gianna, and Tyler.
