Miles White Obituary

MILES STAPLES WHITE

Miles Staples White of Wilmington died Monday January 10, 2012, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

He was born August 28, 1918, in Hertford, NC, son of the late Daniel White and Beulah Halsy White and was preceded in death by his wives Maryana White and Lee White and his son William Daniel White.

Mr. White retired from the US Coast Guard and in later years worked for Crocker's Marine. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Past Master of Pythagoras Lodge #249 in Southport, NC.

Surviving is his sister Frances Nelson of Plummer, Idaho; nephew, Tom Wallace and wife Betsy of Wilmington; great nephew, Tommy Wallace and wife Tina of Wilmington; great- great niece Jensen Wallace and great-great nephew Thomas Wallace also surviving is his step daughter Dawn Lerch and husband Al of Georgia.

A funeral service will be held 11am Friday, January 13, 2012, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by Dr. Donnie Lovette. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am Friday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington NC 28401 or to the charity of one's choice.
