BELINDA E HALL Belinda Hall, age 55 of Burgaw, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 22, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Belinda was the daughter of James and Barbara Elkins of Russell, KY. Belinda is survived by her husband of six years, James Hall, Jr., her daughter Victoria Gardner, and two sisters; Beverly and Bethany. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 4:00PM at the Community Building in Holly Ridge, NC. MARY ELIZABETH COOPER WILLIAMS HOLMES Mary Elizabeth Cooper Williams Holmes, 97, of Wilmington, NC, died Sunday, August 21, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born November 13, 1918, in Little River, SC, to the late Joseph Cooper and Flora Stanley Cooper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, James Steele Williams, Sr. and Dallas Granger Holmes and brothers, J. Warwick Cooper and Joseph Norman Cooper. Survivors include her children, James Steele Williams, Jr. and wife Georgia, Joseph Norman Williams and wife Margie, Thomas Delos Williams and wife Nancy, Mary Ann Riley and husband Marvin and Charles Alvin Williams and companion Sandra Wood; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3pm, Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Andrews Market Street Chapel with Pastor Arnold Griffin officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Skip Skipper, Bryant Riley, Larry Huffstickler, Dallas Williams, Jr., James Steele Williams III and William Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Davidson and Charlie Williams, Jr. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery, 520 N. 15th Street, Wilmington, NC. Hamilton, Charles Linwood "Chuck" - 3. Brunswick  
CHARLES LINWOOD "CHUCK" HAMILTON age 85, of Supply NC, died August 18, 2016, in Autumn Care Nursing Home of Shallotte. Mr. Hamilton was born in Whiteville, NC, and was the son of the late Rembert Charles and Carrie Hamilton. He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, a 32nd Degree Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite, a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a B.S. Degree, and a real-estate broker in North Carolina. He retired from the Office of the Secretary of Defense after 30 years' service, and was an Air Force Veteran for 12 years which included serving in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Frances C. Hamilton of 34 years, two daughters, Vicki Smith and husband Jim of Elk Grove, California and Kaylene Paulson and husband Eric of Lacey, Washington; a grandson, Ryan Paulson and will be remembered fondly by his numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Chuck loved the Lord and was a righteous person. He blessed so many with his wonderful smile and was a devoted father and husband. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Autumn Care of Shallotte Nursing Home in North Carolina, who attentively cared for Chuck. Visitation will be, Tuesday, August 23, 2016, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sharon United Methodist Church and funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm. Although flowers are appreciated, the family suggests donating to the Sharon United Methodist Church (SUMC) Attn: Sylvia Ludlum Scholarship Fund, 2030 Holden Beach Road, SW, Supply, NC 28462 in the memory of Charles Hamilton.
