JO PERRY ALFORD Jo Perry Alford, 77, of Scotts Hill passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter. She was born in Wake County on September 25, 1937 to the late Allen and Mamie Perry. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Brooks Alford; sisters, Ola Mitchell, Innie LeGwin; brothers, Albert Haywood "Sam" Perry and Derwood Perry; as well as her beloved pet Charlie. Jo is survived by her two daughters, Talmsi Schultz (Bobby) and Kim Andrews (Ricky); grandchildren, Rob Schultz (Dabney), Taylor Jones (Camille) and Hunter Jones; great grandchildren, Douglas Daniels, Madison Daniels, Alainah Jones, Bailey Schultz; sisters, Peggy Underhill, Jean Gay and brother Glen Perry. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, in Zebulon Town Cemetery, Zebulon, NC. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, on Tuesday at Andrews Hampstead Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pender County Humane Society, Lower Cape Fear Hospice or a charity of one's choice. Ard, Carl Gerald "Jerry"  
CARL GERALD "JERRY" ARD On April 6, 2015, God wrapped his loving arms around Carl Gerald Ard (Jerry) and took him home with him. Jerry was born in Scranton, South Carolina. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy Jerry was a dedicated Civil Servant, serving 42 years with the Federal Aviation Administration, working to protect the Flying Public, by testing and approving advanced Air Traffic Control Systems. He is survived by his Loving Wife Mary, Sister Judy Hanna, stepson Scott Reid, son Jay Ard, daughter Patty Ard and Many loving Grandchildren, and Great Grand Children. Jerry was truly Loved and will be missed. May he Rest in Peace Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 24, 10:00 am at the Calabash Convenant Presbyterion Church, 8820 Old Georgetown Road, Sunset Beach, NC. In lieu of Flowers contributions may be made to "The Committee to Honor America's Veterans" (Brunswick County). Checks should be sent to Lt. SYLVIA HIGH BABSON Sylvia High Babson went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2015 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Wilmington, NC. Sylvia was born in Columbus County on March 19, 1956 to the late Julius Albert High and Manola Wagstaff High Hilbourn. She was also preceded in death by two brothers. Sylvia enjoyed working with her Amtrak Railroad family, shopping, cross stitch, decorating and loved plants. Sylvia is survived by two sons, Joseph High and Travis Babson; two grandchildren, Manola High and Bair Kuneyl ; sister, Jean High Murphy; three brothers, Philip High, Kelly High and Don High; three nephews, Wesley High, Gary Murphy and Matt Hinson. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Silver Lake Baptist Church, 4715 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 28412. Bordeaux, Rose Kerr - 1. New Hanover  
ROSE KERR BORDEAUX Rose Kerr Bordeaux, a life-long resident of Castle Hayne passed away on Monday, April 13th after a long illness. She was born December 12, 1924 in Castle Hayne, one of nine children and the oldest daughter of Clarence and Blanche Kerr, prominent farmers in a time before electricity and indoor plumbing. Rose remembered her time growing up on the farm with fondness and continued a love of working in her yard as long as she was able. She was a quiet woman of determined character. Rose was married to the love of her life for 69 years and will be interred next to her husband Ralph Bordeaux in the Bordeaux Family Cemetery on Oakley Rd at 2PM, Wednesday, April 15th, 2015. The family will receive friends at the home at 1521 Oakley Road in Castle Hayne from 1-2 PM Wednesday. She is survived by three sons, Ralph R. Bordeaux, Jim Bordeaux and wife Caroline, Dennis K. Bordeaux and wife Kim, four grand-children, John, Melissa, Jennifer and Ralph, and three great-grandsons, Brandon, Michael and Wyatt. The family extends special thanks to Margaret Mercer for the loving care and dedication she provided our mother during the past two years.
