ALMA HALES BROWN
Alma Hales Brown, 98, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Britt Haven North Chase, Wilmington, NC.
She was born May 18, 1914, in Wadesboro, NC, the daughter of the late William Vann and Mary Eason Hales. Alma was the widow of Alan L. Brown.
She is survived by son, Forrest Brown (Paulette), of Columbia, SC. Brother-in-Law, Tom Brown (Betty),of Wilmington, granddaughter Wendi Roderick (Brad), great grand children Evey and Dallas King, Holly Springs NC, nieces Dorothy Tyson and Linda Bagwell of Wilmington, NC.
A private service will be held at a later date.

Larry & I are so sorry to hear about you mom, I know from experience that it can be bittersweet saying good-buy to the women who rocked you to sleep and kissed your skinned knees....May God give you a sweet peace and grace during this time. Just having lost my companion, I know the pain of losing a loved one. My heart goes out to the Brown family. The consolation is that Alma is in the "ultimate" place with her Maker.
