DARCIE MICHELE KEEFE

Darcie Michele Keefe, 57, passed away on October 29, 2012. She was born on June 24, 1955 in Denver, Colorado and was daughter of Elizabeth Keefe and the late Colin Keefe. Darcie was educated in Denver Colorado. She attended East High School, Lakewood High School and the University of Northern Colorado. Her career included, Vice President of Colorado National Bank; District Manager of Fitz and Floyd in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming; and Sales Counselor, Oakwood Homes. In 2006 she moved to Wilmington where she became owner/President of A&B Personnel Services. Darcie was a member of the Wilmington Cape Fear Rotary Club and served on the Cape Fear Community College Foundation Board.

Darcie was a very special person who valued family and friendships. She had a wonderful sense of humor bringing joy and laughter to her family and friends. Darcie endured all challenges in life with grace and courage leaving lasting impressions with those who knew and loved her. Darcie was a bright light that was always positive and willing to help others. Her memory will be forever etched in our hearts.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister Kathleen Barber and husband Tom of Wilmington, brothers Kevin Keefe and wife Cindy, Michael Keefe and wife Lori, John Keefe and wife Lynn, all of Denver, Colorado, Uncle Robert Wadden, Lexington SC, 7 nieces and nephews, eight cousins and many friends.

Memorial services for Darcie will be held 11 AM, Thursday, November 1, 2012 at St Mark Catholic Church, 1011 Eastwood Road, Wilmington, NC. Following the service, friends and family are invited to a reception at the Porter's Neck Country Club, 8403 Vintage Club Circle, Wilmington, NC.

The family is grateful for special support given by Lower Cape Fear Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made (in Darcie's name) to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 or Wilmington Cape Fear Rotary Club, PO Box 7192, Wilmington, NC 28406.
