Edward Leon McDougald Sr.

EDWARD LEON MCDOUGALD, SR. Edward Leon McDougald, of 5649 Garland Hwy, Clinton, NC, went to be with the Lord September 2, at his home, surrounded by his family. He is a native of Wilmington, NC. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He is a member of Epworth UMC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Heath McDougald, his parents, Dellie McDougald, Sr. and Effie Jane West, and 3 grandchildren, Crystal Ann Ward, Amber Marie McDougald, and Mitchell Faircloth, and his two brothers, David and Dellie. He is survived by his children, Evie Cox (Byron) of Savannah, GA; Edward Leon of Ft. Worth, TX; Toni Ritchie (Harry) of Kannapolis, NC; Stephanie McDougald of Ocean Isle Beach; Lewis (Tracy) of Clinton, NC; Robert of Wilmington; Helen (Jenny) of Toronto, Canada; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Wayne McDougald and Roy McDougald; 2 sisters, Jane McDougald and Roma Martin. The family will receive family and friends at Epworth UMC, Clinton, NC on Thursday, September 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A visitation will be Friday, September 6, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service. The funeral service will be held Friday at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Coble Ward-Smith with Rev. Dalma Cribb officiating. The interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
