Roger H. Lankenau, of Wilmington, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born October 31, 1926, in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Harry Lankenau and Elsie Witten Lankenau.

Roger was raised in White Plains, NY, attended White Plains High School and graduated from Amherst College. He worked at Lankenau Textile Co. then became VP of Rosebar Textiles. Roger won eleven senior national platform tennis championships with his partner Chuck Baird. He was a member of Westchester Country Club for sixty-five years playing golf and tennis also serving on the board. He retired to Wilmington where he joined Landfall Country Club and became very active in the golf and tennis programs. Roger loved walking on Wrightsville Beach, hunting in Lander, WY, and summer vacations at Cape Cod.

Surviving is his wife of sixty-two years Marilyn; children Harry and wife Susan, Jan, Wendy and husband Art and Bo.

A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Kenan Chapel at Landfall.
