ROLAND "ROLLY" SEGUIN Roland Herman Seguin, 79, passed away on June, 28, 2013. After visiting his ex-wife, Peggy Santel Seguin, who was suffering with respiratory failure, in the hospital all week, Roland's heart stopped working. He took his last breaths 30 feet away from his dear friend and partner. It has been said that Roland - who spent his life helping others, was afraid that Peggy would leave this life alone and wanted someone to guide her and make her comfortable in death. Roland was born on December 2, 1933 in Alexandria, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of the late Calixte Seguin and Lea Porier. He was the brother of Romeo Seguin of Montreal, Canada, Laura Burgess of Iroquois, Ontario, Canada, Alice Clements of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and the late Evelyn Dicaire-Morris of Cornwall, Ontario. In 1979, Roland brought his sons Michael Seguin, Robert Seguin, and his wife Peggy to the United States. He was a dedicated husband and father. Roland was a fine craftsmen and a master carpenter who made his living remodeling historic homes and churches in downtown Wilmington. In 30 years, Roland never advertised, but instead built his business on the references and referrals of his previous customers. Roland will be remembered in a funeral Mass on Friday, July 5 at 6 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wilmington, NC. Roland was an usher and a member of the church for more than 30 years.
