CLAUDINE BECK HAMPTON Claudine Beck Hampton, 75, of Wilmington, NC, passed away Monday, March 24 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. Claudine was born in Petersburg, VA on October 6, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Clyde and Virginia Royall Beck. She is preceded in death by husbands Richard K. Moseley and Estil M Hampton. Surviving are daughter Deborah Moseley Brown of Key Largo; son Kevin Moseley; stepdaughters Phillis Hampton Johnson and Sheila Hampton Menton; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. First grandson James Brown III (Erin) of Raleigh. Also surviving are brothers David Beck (Jane) of Seffner, Gary Beck (Judy) of Baltimore, and Tedd Beck (Candice) of Richmond, and her loving sister Janice Beck Slate (Steve) of Wilmington. Claudine was a retired IRS Revenue Agent. She moved to Wilmington to help her sister care for their Mother. She was a member of the Quilters By the Sea Guild, Scene 3, Social Singles and >50 Group of the Keys. Many friends were enjoyed by this social butterfly. Her greatest pleasure was creating individual quilts for love ones and charity. She enjoyed listening to audio books as she worked. A Memorial service will be conducted at St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church at 6th and Market St. 2:00 PM Thursday, March 27, 2014 with Pastor Mark Opgrand officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held directly after the Memorial at her Sister's home, 5012 Godfrey Way 28409.
