Colman Sampson, 35, of Wilmington, NC, passed away at home on February 2, 2013.

He is survived by his parents, Samuel and Dorothy Sampson, brother Burt Sampson (Jennifer), brother Ted Sampson (Brian), a niece Marisa Sampson, a nephew Reed Sampson and his fiancée, Constance Janulewicz, all of Wilmington. Colman also leaves behind a large circle of friends that he has touched in many different ways.

Colman was a graduate of New Hanover High School and attended Cape Fear Community College. He was employed as a Machinist at Eastern Instruments. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and enjoyed grilling his catch for friends and family. Colman was a great lover of music and surrounded himself with friends who shared his passion.

A memorial service will be held at Silver Lake Baptist Church, 4715 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC, at 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 5:00pm.

The family asks that a donation be made to the Silver Lake Baptist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
