DEBORAH CAROL JEFFERSON TINSLEY Deborah "Deb" Carol Jefferson Tinsley, 67, of Hampstead, died Friday, June 8, 2018, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Deb was born September 11, 1950 in Washington, NC, daughter of the late Alfred Jay Jefferson, Sr. and Helen Singleton Jefferson. She was known by many names, Deb, Nai Nai, Hoss, but most knew her as Deborah Carol. She loved to laugh and lived to love. There wasn't a thing she wouldn't do for her family. She was a saint, a beacon of light, and a pillar of strength in the family. No matter where she went the room was brightened by her presence. Her light lives on in each and every one of us and it is our duty as her family, as her friends, to keep that light shining bright and to keep our strength just as she would. She wouldn't have it any other way. She would just want us to be happy and dance with somebody who loves us. She is survived by two sons, Christopher R. Ezzelle (Carol) of Arlington, VA, and Jeffrey Tinsley of Hampstead, NC; grandson, Jack Y. Ezzelle; two sisters, Connie Jefferson Mercer (Charles) of Rocky Point, NC, and Robin Ann Jefferson of Wallace, NC; three brothers, Alfred Jay Jefferson, Jr. (Vallary) of Wilmington, NC, and William Ellison Jefferson and Charles Randall Jefferson (Cheryl), all of Hampstead; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel with Rev. Rob Strickland officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Deborah's memory may be made online to One Sky at (click the "Invest in Kids" button). Condolences to the family at Andrews Hampstead Chapel
