HAZEL MINNIE RIVENBARK Hazel Minnie Kellum Rivenbark, 93 of Jacksonville and Surf City, NC went to be with her Lord on August 24, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC. She was the youngest child of Owen and Minnie Howard Kellum in Jacksonville, NC on November 7, 1919. She owned and operated the Red and White Supermarket in Jacksonville, NC for many years along with her deceased and devoted husband, Elmer Lee Rivenbark of 74 years. After retirement she enjoyed her home at Surf City as well as boating, fishing and shrimping with her husband, family and friends. Hazel had been residing at Spring Arbor Assisted Living of Wilmington, NC since 2011. She was a loving, nurturing, special Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to her daughters, Ann Rivenbark Davis and husband Gerald of Surf City, Marilyn Rivenbark Hadley Hine and husband Kevin of Surf City. Grandchildren, Tiffany Hadley Thomas and husband Chris of Wilmington, NC, Paul J. Davis and wife Elyse of Surf City, NC, Dr. Phillip J. Davis of Orlando, FL. Great-Grandchildren; Lucas, Julia, Bennett and Alexa Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ruby Kellum Sammons, Alma Kellum, and brothers Ransom Kellum, Jessie Kellum, Bernard Kellum, Garland Kellum, Harvey Kellum and Barney Kellum all of Jacksonville, NC. Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM with services beginning at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC. Burial will be held following the services at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville, NC.
