ISABEL A. WOLFE Isabel A Wolfe, 82 of Hampstead died Friday, August 23, 2013, at NHRMC. Isabel was born September 4th 1930 in Hudson, NY , daughter of the late Arthur D. Ryder and Lillian Law Ryder. Her husband, John "Fred" Wolfe, preceded her in death. She was a founding member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hampstead, where she was an active member of the ECW. She was a loving and nurturing, wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Pennington; four children, sons John F. Wolfe, Jr. of Wilmington, James M. Wolfe (Delores) of Hampstead; daughters, Sally W. Markovitch (Darrell) of Hampstead, and Barbara W. Lee (David) of Tarboro, NC; Step children, David E. Pennington of Hampstead, Gary A. Pennington of Smithfield, NC and Elizabeth A. Ketner (Billy) of Wilmington; nine grandchildren, Amanda Singletary (Jess) of Raleigh, NC, Kirstan Markovitch of Hampstead, Matthew Lee (Jessica) of Nashville, TN, Caleb Lee (Allen) of Morehead City, NC, Abigail Mazingo (Stephen) of Fernandina Beach, FL , Joseph Lee of Greensboro, NC, Scarlett Nichols (Jason)of Leland , Christopher Wolfe, of Hampstead, and Samuel Wolfe, of Hampstead; step- grandchildren, Matthew Ketner of Wilmington, and Laura Ketner of Wilmington; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm Tuesday August 27, 2013, at her home. A memorial service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hampstead, with the Rev. Pamela Stringer officiating. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church 107 Deerfield Road, Hampstead, NC 28443.
