JENNIFER EILEEN PRITCHARD NEWTON Jennifer Eileen Pritchard Newton, 49, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 13, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio. Jen was perpetually happy with a radiant smile. She loved gardening, crafting, cooking and hosting Pampered Chef parties. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she loved the beach and warm weather. Most of all, she was a devoted wife and mother, whose love for her family was second only to her love for the Lord. She graduated from South Brunswick High School and the University of Florida. She received her master's degree in hospital administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was employed as a human resources business partner at New Hanover Regional Medical Center where she worked for 14 years. Jen was also on the Board of Directors at Cape Fear Group Homes for adults with developmental disabilities for 20 Years which she considered a labor of joy. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Newton Jr., son, Chip, and daughter Allison, all of Wilmington; mother, Allison Bellamy of Dania, Fla.; father, Dick Pritchard and stepmother Judy Pritchard of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister Sunny Pritchard of Dania, Fla.; nephews Tommy and Sam; and a niece, Savannah. Her family and friends will celebrate her life at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Harbor United Methodist Church, 4853 Masonboro Loop Road, Wilmington. Jennifer was grateful to the USO for all the hospitality they showed her son, Chip, during his first year in the U.S. Navy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the USO to help them continue their support of our troops. Condolences may be sent to
