JOHN WILLIAM (JACK) CURRIN John William (Jack) Currin, 98, son of Wallace and Pearl Currin, died December 25, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter. He is survived by his wife Eloise; daughter, Catherine and son-in-law, Daniel Martin of Apex; grandson,Daniel Zachary Martin (Marie); great granddaughter, Alex Martin; and great grandson, Jackson Martin. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his grandson, Alex Martin. Jack grew up in Richmond, VA, served in The United States Navy during WWII, and retired from Southern Bell Telephone in 1978 after 40 years of service. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church since 1960, The Masons (Hamlet), Eastern Star (Wilmington), and The Telephone Pioneers. He was an avid golfer. The family appreciates the loving care shown to Jack and his family during their time of need. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401, Wesley Memorial UMC, 1401 S.
