RUDOLPH "RUDY" CARROLL CAPPS, SR.
Rudolph "Rudy" Carroll Capps, Sr., 82, of Wilmington passed away April 13, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born on January 9, 1930 in Centenary, SC to the late Thomas and Leona Capps.
Mr. Capps was preceded in death by his wife, of 53 year, Pansy Capps and a son Dennis Capps, Sr.. He is survived by his children Pam Rouse (Bobby) and Rudy Capps, Jr. (Vivian); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters.
Mr. Capps retired from GE with more than 25 years of service. He served his country honorably in The United States National Guard and retired with 20 years of distinguished service. After retirement he worked at Harris Teeter for 7 years. He enjoyed fishing and always loved a good Western. But above all he loved his family. He was a loving husband, daddy, brother, granddaddy and great-granddaddy. He will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel on Tuesday, April 17 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sam Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
