RICHARD FRANCIS OWENS
Richard Francis Owens, 86, of Shallotte, NC died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, Bolivia, NC.
Mr. Owens was born January 5, 1927 in Norwood, MA to the late Richard and Victoria Benoel Owens. He worked as Vice President of Manufacturing for the Kimberly Clark Corporation. Mr. Owens was a United States World War II Navy Veteran; and a member of the Elks Lodge, VFW, and the American Legion.
Surviving is his wife Janice Owens; and longtime friends Dr. Thomas and Donna Swantkowski of Southern Pines, NC.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Brunswick House 955 Mercy Lane, SE Bolivia, NC 28422.
