CAMILLA G. HERLEVICH Mrs. Camilla Vaughan Griffin Herlevich died June 3, 2013 in Wilmington, NC. She was born in New Bern, NC on May 26, 1924, the daughter of Ellegood Vaughan and Margaret Hollister Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Victor W. Herlevich, and by her brother, Ellegood Vaughan Griffin, Jr. She was educated in the public schools of New Bern, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was active in the life of St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church, where she served as Elder. She was employed as an elementary school librarian in the New Hanover County Schools for several years. She is survived by her two daughters, Camilla M. Herlevich and husband, James T. Brier of Wilmington; and Ann H. Brennan and husband Kevin J. Brennan of Louisville, Colorado; her grandchildren, John R. and Laura E. Brier; Nikolas X., Eliza Rose, and Harry A. Brennan. Also surviving is her beloved niece Lisa Griffin Rankin and husband, John T. Rankin of Longwood, Florida, and two great nieces, Cary Rankin and Griffin Bequer; several nieces and nephews of her late husband; and two very special friends, Capt. M. E. "Tex" Vineyard and Mrs. J. Fred Rippy, Jr. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Andrews Market Street Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Andrews Covenant Presbyterian Church. A private interment will be at Oakdale Cemetery. The family wishes to express deep appreciation for the loving care provided by the staff at the Commons at Brightmore and at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
