CHARLES DUNCAN Charles Duncan, 72, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Center, Wilmington, NC, with his family by his side. Charles was born April 17, 1941, in Rutherford, N.C to Noah Preston Duncan & Arrie Mae Earley. Charles worked in Greensboro, NC, where he met the love of his life Delores. They married October 19, 1968. Charles was a General Manager of DuPont and was relocated to Wilmington, NC. They had three children together Kim, Michelle, and Charles Jr. Charles also had two daughters Sherri & Terri, as well as two step children Timmy and Kathy. He was an active member of Gibson Avenue Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. He loved the Lord, and reading his Bible every day. His family was very important to him. Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife Delores of 45 years, his 7 children and spouses, his granddaughter Alisha & husband Shawn, grandsons Christopher & George III, granddaughters Bridgette & Tiffany, all of Wilmington and others, his great-grandchildren Kenlee, Rylee, Aubri, and others, and a nephew Jimmy & family from Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Duncan is preceded in death of his parents and brothers, Jack & Shag and sisters, Daris, Vera, Barbara and Denny also his nephew Gary. Viewing will be at 1:00 P.M, service will be at 2:00 P.M, Tuesday December 17, 2013 at Gibson Avenue Baptist Church. Followed by a graveside at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Robert Croom, Thomas Croom, Mike King, Charles Davis, Glenn Wallace, & Bobby Morgan.
