BILLIE "BILL" ORCE ROGERS Billie "Bill" Orce Rogers, 82, of Riegelwood, NC passed away surrounded by his family, January 3, 2014. He was born in Piedmont, AL to the late Orce O. Rogers and Eva B. Rogers. Bill is a retired veteran of the U.S. Army and served proudly in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the Army he enjoyed successful careers in facilities management retiring in Wilmington, NC from both the New Hanover Regional Medical Center, of Wilmington, NC and then Boddie-Noell Enterprises, of Rocky Mount, NC. Bill is survived by his wife, Gabriele T. "Terry" Rogers; seven children: Linda Flack, of Tabor City, NC; Rita Andrews, of Whiteville, NC; Billy Rogers, of Leland, NC; Lee Price, of Sandy Creek, NC; Larry Rogers and Glenn Rogers, of Riegelwood, NC; and Michael Rogers of Sunset Beach, NC; a sister, Marie Violette of Wilmington, NC; he also is survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 10 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Shiloh United Methodist Church - Billie O. Rogers Cemetery Garden Fund. Please make checks payable to the Shiloh United Methodist Church, memo: Billie O. Rogers Garden and mail donations to Mr. Don Gainey, c/o Billie O. Rogers Garden Fund 1791 Maco Road - Hwy 87, Leland, NC 28451. Visitation will be held at Andrews Mortuary, 1617 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401. Sunday, January 5, 2014, between 6pm-8pm. A funeral service will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1874 Maco Road - Hwy 87, Leland, NC 28451, Monday, January 6, 2014, at 3pm. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
