JAMES FAIRFULL Mr. James Fairfull, 80, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter. Mr. Fairfull was born in Airdrie Scotland on January 8th 1934 and graduated Airdrie high school in 1952. He worked on the British railroad untill 1954 when he went into the Royal Air Force as a Lance Corporal for 2 years. He came to the US in 1957 and worked for PSE&G in NJ as a lineman and was promoted to their lab as a test engineer. He married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Trench in 1957. James leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Mary; his three sons, Thomas, James and Andrew; three grandchildren, Janet, James and Andrew; one great granddaughter, Peyton Jalbert; two sisters, Margaret Veldhoven of Manchester England and Catherine Whellans of Airdrie Scotland; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews in Scotland and in England. There will be a memorial service held 11AM, Saturday, March 15, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 500 Kenwood Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28405. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington NC 28401.
