NANCY SYLVIA LEWIS BOSTIC Nancy Sylvia Lewis (Mamaw) Bostic, 92, of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family and watching her team, the Tarheels, play basketball. She was born in England on December 11, 1921, to William Percy and Annie Elizabeth Lewis. Preceding her in death was her husband, Willie E. (Bud) Bostic, and her three brothers, Kenneth, Eric, and Alan Lewis, all of England. Surviving is her daughter, Libby Jacobs, son Alan Bostic, and daughter-in-law Ginger Bostic. Also surviving are her grandsons, Wesley Bostic and fiancée Megan Crouchley, Brandon Bostic, Doug Jacobs, Dan Jacobs, and one great granddaughter Sophia Jacobs. In addition, she is survived by sisters-in-law Pattie Sue Fields, Beatrice Rivenbark, Hazel (Bill) Thomas, and one sister-in-law in England, Mary Martin, along with several nieces and nephews. Affectionately known as Mamaw, she loved plants and when she was able was outside making sure they were taken care of and had enough water. Visitation will be held Monday evening, March 17, 2014, from 6-8:00pm at Coble Ward Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, in the chapel of Coble's. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pall bearers will be Wesley and Brandon Bostic, Doug and Dan Jacobs, Marvin Watkins, and Bill Penny. Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to Lake Forest Baptist Church, The Paralyzed Vets of America, or to the Humane Society. The family will be at the home of Libby Jacobs.
