JUANITA GIDDEONS WELLS Mrs. Juanita Giddeons Wells, age 78 of Teachey, NC, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at Corinth Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Andy Beard and Reverend Billy Howell. Burial will follow at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. She is survived by two daughters, Gail Cavenaugh and husband Steve of Wallace, NC and Susan Dempsey and husband Jerry of Teachey, NC, three grandchildren, Kelly Susan Dempsey of Greenville, NC, Evan Steve Cavenaugh of Wallace, NC and Kristen Nicole Fowler of Wallace, NC, two sisters, Laura Johnson of Wallace, NC and Sarah Blanton of Wallace, NC and one brother, Leophas Giddeons of Wallace, NC. Mrs. Wells was born on September 26, 1935 in Pender County to the late Leonard and Clydia (Rivenbark) Giddeons and was preceded in death by her husband, Elwin Wells, four brothers, Leon Giddeons, William Giddeons, L. C. Giddeons and Cecil "Sambo" Giddeons and two sisters, Lucille Proctor and Mary Elizabeth Brock. Mrs. Wells was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She graduated from Penderlea High School. She enjoyed cooking, her family and friends and enjoyed being around people. Casket bearers will be Jimmy Knowles, Bo Jones, Richard Williams, Sean Knowles, Anthony Teachey and Todd Peterson.
