JARVIS EVERETTE COOK Jarvis Everette Cook, 68, of Supply, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Mr. Cook was born on June 11, 1946 in Carthage, NC, son of the late Charlie and Hazel Campbell Cook. He had worked as a deputy with the Randolph Co. Sheriff's Department from 1967-1975. Later, he retired after 21 years from Strider Auto as a salesman in Asheboro. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Ward Cook; two sons, Derrick Smith, of Jonesboro, TN and Jeff Cook, and wife, Kellie, of Asheboro; daughter, Tonia Barton, and husband, Gary, of Asheboro; four grandchildren, and his devoted Boston terrier, "Scooter". Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday, June 19th in Sharon United Methodist Church by the Rev. Eddie Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Wednesday evening at the church. Casketbearers will be Jay Hamer, Barry Cook, Dean Draughn, James Bell, Jim Whitehead, Don Downs, Hayden Miller, and Randy Riggs. Honorary casketbearers will be Ervin Simmons, Benny Ludlum, Chester Cash, Ken White, Tommy Smith, Ray Bowman, and the Saints Alive S.S. Class.
