Harry A. Bonser, Jr., 87, of Wilmington, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

He was born January 22, 1925, to the late Harry A. Bonser, Sr. and Pauline Marlatt Bonser.

Harry proudly served in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. Harry retired from CP&L, after 40 years of service, where he worked as an electrical engineer. For 37 years, he was a member of the Holiday Ramblers RV Club.

Survivors include his wife, Katie King Bonser; son, James Bonser (Mary); daughter, Brenda Bonser Simpson (Mike); three grandchildren, Chris Bonser (June), Michael Bonser (Sara) and Heather Stanley (Matt); great-grandchildren, Madison Bonser, Elizabeth Bonser, Abigail Bonser and Sydney Stanley and one sister, Pat Ackerman (Duane).

The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm, Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11am, Friday, December 14, 2012, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
