Alvin Lee Galloway, P.E. beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend born March 15, 1980, passed away March 20, 2013.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Shields Galloway, daughter Gracyn Elizabeth Galloway, and unborn son of Wilmington, NC. Also, parents Alvin Charles Galloway of Darlington, SC and Suzanne Brown Galloway of Hartsville, SC; brother John Andrew Galloway of Orlando, FL; grandparents Johnny and Lessie Brown of Hartsville, SC; uncle Lewis (Kathy) Brown and children of Hartsville, SC; aunt Vicki (Jay) Hudson and children of Hartsville, SC; and, the late Alvin and Elise Galloway of Darlington, SC. In-laws Dr. Vance and Linda Shields and Preston Shields of Myrtle Beach, SC; Sara (Craig) Selander of Florence, SC.

Born and raised in Florence, S.C., Lee graduated from South Florence High School in 1998. Lee was a member of his high school's Varsity Baseball team where he was nicknamed "Hoover" for sucking up any baseball hit his way. Outside of practice, Lee's time was spent hanging with his buddies outdoors, fishing and hunting. Lee was a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he achieved Eagle Scout. Lee was inducted as Vigil Honor member of The Order of the Arrow.

Lee graduated from Clemson University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, emphasis in Environmental Engineering. He was named the Balanced Man Scholar for Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He was employed by Tripp Engineering, P.C. as a Professional Engineer. Lee was a member of St. Andrews Covenant Church in Wilmington, NC, an avid outdoorsman and Clemson Tiger fan.

A memorial service will be held 10am Saturday, March 23, 2013, at St. Andrews Covenant Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations to be made in honor of his children. A deposit donation can be made at any Wells Fargo branch, C/O Elizabeth Galloway or Sara Selander.
