Lerner, Ethel "Toots" age 82, of Minneapolis, passed away May 23, 2012. Preceded in death by husband, David; parents, Charles & Sarah Brodsky and brothers, Ben, Irwin and Sam. Survived by sons, Mark (Shirley), Matt, and Jon (Aliza); grandchildren, Oliver, Charlotte, Miles, Clara, Eli, Lena, and Shevi; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harry & Sandy Lerner, and Millie Lerner; many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Benedictine Health Center for their care during the last years of Toots' life. Funeral service 2 pm FRIDAY at the ADATH JESHURUN CONGREGATION, 10500 Hillside Lane W., Minnetonka. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Mpls. Macek, Albert (Al) age 79, died peacefully on May 20, 2012 at The Lodge (hospice) from complications due to Parkinson's. Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by wife, Dori; daughters, Alane and Diane (Brian; step-daughters, Laura, Sheila, Molly (Peter); granddaughters, Nicole, Michelle, Laurel and Bea; his sister, Pansy (Arnold) Miller, her four children Judy, Ken, Peter and Nancy and their families. Al's parents were deaf so English was his second language. He was amazingly good at math and used this talent to find ways to help union workers prevent repetitive injuries at Honeywell. Al enjoyed symphonies, chamber music, his 3 mile runs, art museums, chess, ballet and opera. He loved to learn and was an excellent teacher and homework coach. He also loved spending time with friends and family. His generosity became known as "Al will do it." A memorial service will be held on Sat., May 26, 10:30 AM at Saint Mark's Cathedral in the All Saints Chapel. Memorials preferred to Mt. Olivet Intergenerational Day Services.

Munson, Floyd B. 97, of Howard Lake, passed away at Howard Lake Good Samaritan Ctr. 5/22/ 2012. Survived by children, Beryl (Carolyn) Munson, Medina, Cleo (Robert) Friederichsen, Buffalo, Robert (LouAnn) Munson, Howard Lake, Mary Beth ( Dennis) Reiners, Mitchell, SD, Kristen (Joel) Pettit, Howard Lake, Ray (Patricia) Munson, Waverly; 15 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren; sister, Valoris Ferrell; sisters-in-law, Jean Bowen of Glenwood, Shirley Westphal of Howard Lake, and Verna (Maurice) Kellander of Granada. Preceded in death by wife of 75 years, Lillian. Funeral service 11 am Saturday, 5/26 at First Presbyterian Church of Howard Lake. Visitation 4-8 pm Friday at Swanson- Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake and 1 hr prior to service at church on Saturday. Prayer service 7:00 pm Friday. Interment Howard Lake Cemetery.

Murray, Geraldine Hanrehan Passed away May 20, 2012. Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, St. Paul. Geraldine is survived by her beloved husband for 55 years, John A. Murray of St. Paul; was the mother, grandmother, and life long continuing educator to her six children and 13 grandchildren; and was an inspiration to others she encountered. She was honored by the Holy See as a Lady member of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem (Grand Cross) since 1994. Geraldine grew up in Christ the King Parish in SW Mpls; received her high school degree from Holy Angels Academy in the SW Mpls/Richfield area; received her BS Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Minnesota in 1954; and was in Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority there. Geraldine lived her early married years in St. Therese Parish in St. Paul and was a junior high school teacher of math, science and home economics prior to and during her early marriage years. She has been a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish in St. Paul during the past 40 years. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Hanrehan and Catherine Furlong Hanrehan of Mpls. and Dakota Co; and by her sister, Frances Hanrehan Ford of Jupiter, FL. Geraldine is survived by six children: Catherine L. Murray of New York and Kansas City, John A. Murray, Jr. of St. Paul, MN, Teresa Murray Law, M.D. (Donald) of Park Ridge, IL, Robert J. Murray (Sara) of Plymouth, MN, Leonard A. Murray (Terri) of Plano, TX and Thomas M. Murray (Shana) of Mpls, MN. In addition, she is survived by her 13 grandchildren: Donald Jr., Cecilia and Joseph Law (in Park Ridge); Brook, Nick and Taylor Murray (in Plymouth); Kaylyn, Kendall and Matthew Murray (in Plano, TX); and Henry, Elizabeth, Peter and Thomas (in Mpls). Gerry remains a continuing educator, mentor, counselor and example to her children, grandchildren and others. She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Hanrehan Student (Dr. Richard) of Edina, MN and her brother, Joseph Hanrehan (Molly) of St. Paul; and by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise Murray Janssen (James), Leonard A. Murray, Jr. (Arlene) and Susan Murray McMahon (William), all of St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (Randolph and Pascal) in St. Paul at 11 A.M. on Friday, May 25. A visitation will occur on the preceding evening at O'Halloran & Murphy Chapel at 575 South Snelling Avenue from 4 to 7 p.m. (651-698-0796); and one hour before Mass (at Holy Spirit Church). Contributions for Memorial Masses for Geraldine to Pastor, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 515 So. Albert Street, St. Paul 55116. Other memorial donations (in lieu of flowers) to the: Holy Spirit Parish School; Catholic Charities of St. Paul & Mpls; the Our Lady of Palestine fund of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre; the Univ. of Mn Fd Eastcliff (St. Paul) Legacy Fund; or donor's choice. Burial: Geraldine will be buried at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Inver Grove Heights, Dakota County (105th St. & Rich Valley Blvd.) with the family graves of Gerry's mother's family (Furlong, Hanrehan) that go back over 150 years among the earliest settlers of Dakota County.
