Survived by significant partner, Bob Moore; brother and sister, Mark Bedard & Renee; loving dog, Raleigh and many loving friends. Memorial service Monday 1 PM, Bob's Home, 2531 Jefferson St NE, Mpls.

Bloom, Arlene L. age 79. born in Minneapolis, MN June 25th, 1933. Entered into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ, May 18th, 2013 at 8:45 PM. Preceded in death by mother and father, Freda and Eric Lundberg; husband, Les Bloom, married for 57 years; brother, Wilfred "Bill" Lundberg; sister-in-law, Rose Lundberg. Raised their family in Richfield, moved to the Brainerd Lakes area and returned to Richfield to live out her life. She was a loving, giving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Survived by three sons, Randy (Kris), Rod (Kim), Gregg (Margie); grandchildren, Alana (Jason) Lund, Stephanie, Kellen (Nikki), Eric (Rebecca), Corey, Kyle, Bjorn, Gunnar; great-grandchildren, Mason Joseph Bloom, Baby Bloom, Freida Arlene Lund. A 1951 graduate of Minnehaha Academy, she worked at Lutheran Social Services, in home care for unwed mothers. Also worked as a caterer and was well known for her baking skills. Arlene was a long time member of the former Park Avenue Covenant Church, now Crosstown Covenant, where she was active in the choir. Visitation Monday, May 27th, 5-8 PM at Crosstown Covenant Church, 5540 30th Ave S, Mpls. Arlene's life will be celebrated Tuesday, May 28th at 11:30 AM with gathering one hour prior at Crosstown Covenant Church. Private interment at Hillside Cemetery, Mpls. Clapp, Robert "Bob" V., Jr. 88, of Fort Dodge and formerly of Edina, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at their carriage house in Fort Dodge, Iowa. There will be a private family celebration and memorial held at a later date. The Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Dodge is serving the family. Survivors include his wife, Dee Clapp; son, R.V. Clapp III and his wife Suzanne and their children, R.V. "Zak" Clapp IV and Max Clapp, all of Fort Dodge; daughters, Cynthia Wincek and her husband, Mark and their children, Christianna and Jeffrey Wincek of Chevy Chase, Maryland; Ann Pollard and her children Elizabeth and Michael Pollard of Danville, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Vernon and Gertrude (Wain) Clapp, and his son-in-law, Bruce Pollard. Robert Vernon Clapp was born on March 23, 1925, in Shaker Heights, Ohio. He attended schools there and graduated from Shaker Heights High School. Bob then enlisted in the U.S. Army Air-Corps at the age of 18. As a WWII pilot of the C-46 Troop Transport; he flew missions over the Himalayas from Burma to China. Upon his honorable discharge he entered and graduated from the University of Illinois where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta. On September 16, 1950 he was united in marriage to Dee Chappell and the couple made their home in Park Ridge, IL. Bob went to work for 3M, which began in Chicago and eventually took the family to the 3M headquarters in St. Paul, MN; where he had a 40 year career in sales, training and marketing. The couple moved to Fort Dodge in 2009 to be closer to their family.

DeConcini, Leonard P. (Deke) Age 92, of Green Valley, AZ, formerly of Burnsville, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Silver Springs in Green Valley, AZ. Deke was born April 23, 1921 in Kulpmont, PA, one of seven children born and raised by his coal-mining father Francis (Frank) and mother Lillian. He earned a football scholarship to Fordham University in the Bronx, NY, where he played in two college bowl games. In response to the attack on Pearl Harbor, he and several teammates immediately left collegel to enlist in the Navy Air Force, where he served through the end of WWII as a flight instructor. Deke continued to serve in the Navy Reserve for many years, retiring as a Commander. While on a leave, Deke met Donna Morse from St. Paul, MN, and they were married very soon after on July 15, 1944. To this union seven children were born, and they enjoyed almost 55 years of marriage until her death in 1999. They started out living on military bases, then moved to St. Paul, MN. They spent most of the child-rearing years in Fargo, ND, then returned to the Twin Cities, residing in Edina, then Burnsville. Deke enjoyed a long and successful career in the insurance business, primarily with American National Ins. Co. (ANICO) He was a loving and devoted family man, a devout Catholic, and was known for his passion for football, and a wonderful sense of humor. Deke was preceded in death by wife Donna, youngest son David, eldest son Michael, and second wife Mary Jane. Left to cherish his memory are sister June, brother Francis, sons Jim (Peg) DeConcini of Green Vally, AZ and Talmoon, MN, John (Patti) DeConcini of Tucson, AZ, Tom (Cathy) DeConcini of Canyon Lake, CA, and daughters, Sharon (Joe) Wronko of Tucson, AZ, and Patty (Alan) Pearson of Luck, WI. Visitation will be at Green Valley Mortuary in Sahuarita, AZ on Wednesday, May 22 from 4-7 pm. Funeral mass will be at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Green Valley, AZ at 3 pm on Thursday, May 23rd. Interment will be at Dawn Valley Cemetery in Bloomington, MN on an undetermined date this summer.

Drake, Anne M. age 82, of Eden Prairie, MN and Scottsdale, AZ passed away May 17th, 2013. Born March 4th, 1931 in St. Paul. Anne graduated from the University of Minnesota which lead to a long career in public relations. She had a passion for the fine arts and travel which she shared with her family and friends. She embraced life and lived it to its fullest. She will be truly missed. Preceded in death by loving husband Arnold P. Orloff; parents Richard and Mildred Drake; brothers Richard Drake Jr. and Gerald Drake. Survived by children, Gregory Olsen & Mary Watson, Carole Wheeler, and Kimberly & Todd McNurlin, Robin & Mark Wolff, Nadine Orloff, Steve & Barrie Orloff; grandchildren, Brittany Olsen, Christopher Wheeler, and Sophie & Sydney McNurlin, Jacqueline & Jordan Wolff, Samuel, Danielle & Noah Orloff; brother & sister-in-law, Ronald Drake and Nadene Carroll, and many nieces and nephews. Services at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6901 Normandale Rd, Edina, MN 55435 on Friday, May 24th at 2:00 pm. Fellowship to follow. Private family interment. Freedland, Lewis David Born Oct. 3, 1915 on a farm in Brooklyn Center, died May. 19, 2013, after a long and productive life, in St. Louis Park. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Reva on Feb. 9, 2013, parents Isaac & Annie, brothers, Morris (Shirley), Max (Ray), and Harry (Dorothy); brother-in-law Irving White. Survived by his sister Louise White; children, Sara Wolf Foss, Janet Seruya, Betsy Freedland (Douglas Anderson), Jay Freedland, Linda Siegel and Debra Freedland (Elmer Costabile); eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a respected engineer, well known for designing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems in buildings all over the US. During World War II as a civilian crucial to the war effort, he served at Puget Sound Navy Yard. He was forever fascinated by construction, loved nature, watch making, tools, carpentry, chocolate, and puzzles. His work is now done, its quality never compromised. We will sorely miss long walks with him and his obscure jokes. He now walks eternally in our hearts. Gulden, Dennis V. Age 63, of Roseville. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly on May 21, 2013. Preceded in death by father, John Orville Gulden and mother, Carol A. Gulden (Witte). Survived by wife, Nancy; children: Michelle (Shawn) Ecklund, Tom (Nicole), Melissa (Taylor) Gulden, and Kristen Gulden; 10 precious grandchildren; brothers: Larry (Char), Charles (Jean), Kevin (Debra), Scott (Jennifer) and sisters: Debra (Kevin) Thompson, Kari (Dave) Pflugshaupt, and Diane Sharstrom; step-daughter, Teresa (Bill) Klose and 3 grandchildren; as well as many extended family and friends. Dennis was a driver for UPS for 36 years and was considered a "good guy" by everyone his life touched. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
