Robert Fields (Bobby, ``Pasta Bob'') DeZonia, 43, Edina, precious son of Bob and Tish DeZonia of Madison, WI, died unexpectedly on Sat., Nov. 2, 2002, from complications of juvenile diabetes. All members of his family from Wisconsin and Minnesota were at his side during his last hours. Bobby was born in Memphis, TN, on Feb. 7, 1959. He was raised in Madison, earned a degree in marketing from UW-Oshkosh and Madison Area Technical College, and spent the majority of his professional sales career in the Twin Cities. Bobby was a bright, warm and genuine person known for his unique and wonderful sense of humor, his deep loyalty to others, and his ever-abiding passion for the Green Bay Packers and the UW Badger football team. Despite his 31-year battle with diabetes, Bobby was optimistic and enthusiastic about life, and he cut to the chase in all circumstances with impeccable timing and quick wit. He had a special love for all of his nieces and nephews and will be remembered by all as a true life mentor. Bobby loved working with children, coaching a Hopkins Little League team to a baseball championship. He was a committed volunteer in the Hopkins Area Jaycees, particularly the Raspberry Festival and the Christmas Tree lot, and he was an originator and avid participant of the Hopkins Bowl's Fantasy Football League for 12 years. Outside work, Bobby tended bar for most of his adult life, ultimately becoming a beloved patron of the Hopkins Bowl and the Hopkins VFW. He will be dearly missed by all. Survivors include his parents, Bob and Tish DeZonia; sisters, Katherine DeZonia Hocum of Rochester, MN and children Jenny and Sean; Anne-Marie Cookson of Edina, MN and children David, Elizabeth, Jocelyn, and Benjamin; Suzanne (Tim) Mullen of Minnetonka, MN and children Katy and Danny Carter, and Anne, Kristen, Kevin, Becca, and Joey Mullen; Liz (Creighton) Hinkes of Madison and children Rachel and Travis; Jeanne (Timothy) Corcoran of Oregon and children Mikaila and Rebecca; his brother, Barry DeZonia of Madison and children Casey and Haley; his paternal grandmother, Monette DeZonia of Oregon, WI, and other aunts, uncles, and cousins. See details below: MADISON: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at 10:00 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 301 N. Main Street, Verona. A luncheon in the church hall will follow. Burial will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Joyce-Ryan Funeral Home, 5701 Odana Rd. (608-274-1000) on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, with a rosary at 8:00 PM. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 AM until time of services at the church. MINNEAPOLIS: Memorial Service Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 PM, St. Joseph's Church, 1310 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN.
