Dear Lavallee family,
My son Miles was Phil's roommate at SDSU this past year. We heard nothing but the kindest words about the kind of young man Phil was. He leaves a legacy, not only for his athleticism, but also for his character, charisma, and happy smile. He will be missed by so many, most recently by all of the friends and teammates who loved him at SDSU. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I remember Phillip as a happy positive young man. I looked back in our Pinewood yearbook and found Phillip in Mrs. Berg's 5th grade class in 2005. I remember his fun loving attitude! It is tough to comprehend a loss like this. Andrew, Marcus and your family are in my thoughts and in my prayers.

To the LaVallee Family,
Words cannot express how I felt when I heard of this tragedy. My granddaughter was a teammate of Phillip and although she did not get to know him well, said he was the kindest person with the most vivid smile. At pool workouts, if you were having a bad day, he would always make everything better. I know the team will be running for Phillip this year. God bless you all. You have my prayers and sympathy.

When I read the story of the accident my heart ached for the loss of this remarkable young man.
As a former neighbor of Greg's, and friend of Michele's in St. Michael in the 70's, I remember the LaVallees as a warm and loving family.

To the family of Phillip LaVallee:
With a heavy heart, we offer our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of a great and talented young man. What an inspiration to so many! His story is so moving each and every time I see it or read about it. The "Run 4 Phil" event and prayer service were emotional for all of us that attended. The stories that made the news were a huge tribute to him as a person and his genuine caring nature. As a parent of his close friend and 2012 classmate, it has been a roller coaster of emotions. Though none of us understand the reason behind what happened, and why his young life was take far too soon; we can only hope that he has accepted his new role as our heavenly angel "gliding" through every step of his next journey. God has other plans for Phil, and as hard as it hurts to not be able to physically see him anymore, may you find comfort in knowing that his
beautiful spirit with guide you and help you find some peace. I can see him smiling down from Heaven right now! Thoughts and prayers!
