Avis Mendel

Mendel, Avis Of Robbinsdale, was born in 1922 in Ladysmith, WI. She grew up in the Cokato MN. area, but later moved to St. Cloud with her husband Albert after the end of WW II. They later moved to the Twin Cities in about 1956. Avis worked for the Robbinsdale School District #281 for many years. She later worked as a volunteer at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, an activity she found very rewarding. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl of Minneapolis, her sister Ardis Rader and nephew Tom Rader of McMinnville, TN.; sisters-in-law Rose Mendel of the Twin Cities, Violet Miller of St. Cloud and other nieces, nephews and cousins in Minnesota and Iowa. Memorial service 10:30 AM Tuesday at Elim Lutheran Church, 40th & W. Broadway, Robbinsdale. Reviewal Monday 5-7 PM at Gearty- Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway. Private int.
