Glennys Sipe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 14, 2010.
Sipe, Glennys "Glen" Born 2-11-26, age 84 of Anoka, MN gently passed February 12, 2010. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce (Weilbrenner); sister, Shirley Goskey and many loving nieces and nephews. Glen was born and raised in Burschville, MN. WWII veteran serving in the Navy. Piano tuner for Bodine and Schmitt Music prior to self employment. He was the best of the best. If Glen couldn't fix the piano it couldn't be fixed. Glen devoted many hours volunteering his musical talents. Glen and Joyce helped maintain his one room school house in Burschville. Glen's finest talent was being a friend to everyone he met. He made a bad situation better with a smile. Although Glen & Joyce birthed no children they acted as parents to all the nieces and nephews. Glen you left us with good footsteps to follow just like Jesus. We thank God for blessing us with Glen. See you soon - your loving family. Funeral Tuesday 2 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 4240 Gettysburg Ave N., New Hope with visitation starting at 12:30 PM at church. Interment Fort Snelling Wednesday 1 PM. Memorials preferred to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Gearty-Delmore 763-537-4511

Glen and Joyce were my parents' (Grady and Millie Cambronne) closet and dearest friends. Many good times were spent at the cabin on Lake Mille Lacs. I will always treasure the fun times we had up there. Glen was a loveable, great guy and always had a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers go out to Joyce and the family.

We'll miss you Uncle Glen, The Great Family Story Teller. We will cherish all the memories you left with us, and always remember your quick smile and hearty laugh. As you said when the family sang together, "we might not be good, but we're loud!"

These are my favorite memories of Glen and my Dad, Bert, playing for dances, for events, for friends. . .but, always, just for the love of playing! They are playing together once again.

And the music goes on. . .

I remember Mr. Sipe of 50 years ago, tuning our piano and being my Dads' good friend. I challenged him to a foot race and cheated, he still won!
My thoughts and prayers to the family.
