Chappy,
You were truly one of a kind; always joking around and always making people laugh: you will be greatly missed. I can still hear your many signature phrases in the back of my mind and they’re still making me laugh today.

Mike Chaplin made me laugh harder than anyone else has in the world. The world is much worse off for having lost his quick wit and sharp intelligence. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

To Michael's family: It was a great joy to have had Mike in our lives those many years ago when he and my son, Cory, were inseparable. They met as co-trumpeters at CMS... and soon became co-conspirators! None of the countless others who were friends of my sons left such vivid memories of laughter, often mixed with frustration and confusion on my part. I could never figure out exactly what those two boys meant or what they were up to next! But I knew it was going to be "for the laughs." Michael was always a joy to have around, as his wit was always quick, and his delivery articulate - testimony to the very bright and capable man he came to be. No one would have ever doubted Chappy's ultimate successes. He was gifted with physical beauty, a mastery of language, a joyful spirit, and indisputable intellect. He was a very special young man of whom I know his family is very proud. His sudden passing has been a shock to each of us, but as time passes we will be comforted by a memory of Mike that will make us smile. That is a wonderful legacy to leave behind for one much too soon gone. Our sincerest sympathies in your time of loss and sadness. May you find comfort in the precious and joyful memories Mike was always working to create ......... Vicki and Tom Roberts
